To install, unzip the archive to a temporary directory on the target PC, double click on the resulting file 'pc8800.msi' to start the Windows installer, and follow the instructions in the installer dialogs. After installation, you will have to run the program 'activate.exe' before you can launch PC8800 itself. The activation program requires that you contact Mirador for an activation code, which has to be entered into the activation dialog. Mirador will at no charge grant one activation code per user/organization and provide support during the evaluation period.

Freeware! Mirador's RS-232 Monitor, a Win32 utility for serial data analysis. The program displays data received at the selected COM port in ASCII or hex format, with time stamps. Received data may be captured in a file or printed. Characters may be transmitted to a serial device using the keyboard. A special "pass-through" mode is available for monitoring communications between two external serial devices.
